From my home on Banks Peninsula, New Zealand, I create linocut prints inspired, for the most part, by my surroundings - farm tracks, boat sheds, rocky beaches, shadows, shifting light and the small details of everyday rural life.
Linocut prints have a graphic quality that I find satisfying: simple shapes, strong contrasts and the marks of the hand left in every piece. After a working life as a graphic designer, I now spend my days carving and printing at a slower pace.
